Point and Shoot

My daughter and I went to visit my parents down in Boknes for the school holidays. One would think that a seasoned traveler and photographer like myself would pack all his camera gear, especially since I was traveling in my own car and not by plane, train, bus or somebody else s car .. I suppose its the age thing.. long story short is that I decided to only pack a small Point and Shoot camera. Nifty little thing though, its a Casio Exilim it has a built in GPS so you can see where each and every photo was taken.

Here are a couple of shots from the holiday with Leandra and her step-brother as my willing test subjects / mannequins.. Hahahahaha (Evil laugh)

Family Portraits

I have recently had te pleasure to to take family photos of the Coetzee Family. I chose Pretoria Botanical Gardens as the location, not only for its tranquillity but also for its safety. Plus I know the gardens pretty well which makes it a bit of a bonus.. ;-)

And a couple of my favourites:

Family Portraits

Do you have recent, good quality photos of your kids and family? When is the last time your parents received a beautiful family portrait from you?

I can arrange a relaxing time with you and your family, either in studio or at a location of your choice. If you are having fun, and your family is having a good time, the images I create will be priceless. Why don’t you surprise your loved ones with an original gift this holiday season?

The images I create can be printed on canvas and mounted in a frame to take that prime spot on the mantle piece.

I am now taking booking for family portraits in the Pretoria Botanical Gardens

Packages start from as little as R700.00 (R950.00 – R150.00 print credit)

Terms and conditions apply.

Family Portraits

I was thinking of including family and baby portraits in the menu of our business.

This is something that we have been very busy with in the past, and I think it should be re-visited.

The benefit of doing family and baby portraits is that you can treat it like location shoot, and do the shoot on-site, in the family’s home. That way everybody is more comfortable, the baby’s toys (and napies) are nearby, and Dad doesn’t have to get everybody in the car and schlep them all the way to the studio. Win, win!
